    4/7? i think.

    April 10, 2011 by Seattleite

After about 12 hours on the computer all Saturday, found a custom Winsock for VB.NET.

In case you're wondering, this is how i'm feeling right now:

    Update 10/13

    October 17, 2010 by Seattleite

Got a few more cards coded... I took a little break and cleaned up some code/worked on some other functions mostly instead..

20 cards remain to be coded!!

  • Seattleite

Got even more cards coded. The count is around 65/100 cards coded.

The problem is, there might be some cards which are just too difficult to code/keep track of (With enough time I could probably do it but we have a deadline....) Cards like End of the Wall might not be included.

Also, ZeroChill asked whether or not we will be playing against computers? For the time being... no. AI programming is difficult and time consuming, and at this point we want to encourage duelling between 2 CCG members more. If I find time for it after maybe 2 more sets are out and we have enough duelling, then yes :) It is possible. But to encourage duelling, the DP you will earn from computer battles will be significantly less than from human battles.

    One more thing…

Even MORE cards have been coded. Approximately 48/100 (including normals) have been. If you're saying "Aww Seattleite this is taking forever!" not to worry. Most of my time was resolving a stupid mistake I made in coding. Now that that's over, I have more access.

I added in more advanced concepts like counters and battle damage.

Got the phases working (draw phase, standby phase). And worked a TON on responses and chains.

P.S. For some reason i think that october is the 8th month, so when the date says 8/something it's october. Heheh, sorry.

    8/10 Breakthrough

    October 2, 2010 by Seattleite

After a long and hard struggle with VB Winsock controls I've finally able to get it to work!! Now like I said before this will allow me to code the rest of the cards!!

I am super pumped for this project! Now we have our own Wikia, possibly forum, and soon our own Yugioh Online! This is Definately going to get some attention from yugioh sites on the web (maybe even Konami???) Folks, you are partaking of a revolution in Yugioh CCG history. :)

Turns out that in order to send data computer to computer you need to convert to bytes... yikes.

But there are functions for that kind of stuff. I will just have to do some digging.

    BIG Announcement + Apology

    September 10, 2010 by Seattleite

So, I want to say sorry for not being at YCM or here as often as I'd like. I am practically addicted to this project, lol.

By the way, if you don't know what the "project" is, PM me.

I've finished coding about 13/100 cards so far. I am kinda limited by not installing winsock controls (online connection) yet, which I will need some parental help (lol) to do. Once I do that however this should go much more rapidly.

I've also put in Synchro and Tribute summons. It has this little feature where you double click a card to highlight it, and that is the Tributes for summons/ targets for Spells and Traps. Might be good, might be bad, depending on how you look at it. But that's the only practical way I could do it.

And like YVD, you will be right-click…

    Finished 5/27/10

    May 28, 2010 by Seattleite

Finished Archiving both Flaming Forest and Duelist Pack Tom cards! Also made the main page for the Phoenixian Archetype. I will add in other archetypes later.

If you have time, please add in Strategies or hints you have discovered with these cards under their tips section. Thanks!

Also, If you need a list of monsters of a type , subtype or attribute, you can search this way. Example:

    Category: Fire Monsters

    Category: Dragon Monsters

    Category: Tuner Monsters

    Category: Continuous Spell Cards

I don't think you can just search for all spells or all traps, so you'll have to do that with YVD. Sorry.
